The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Absoliut's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Lekberg came free, but Robertas Sabaitis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Aleksander Walec in the 6th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Absoliut's Henrikas Stulpinas. Kim Lekberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robertas Sabaitis having to make a save. Absoliut's Robertas Sabaitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Lekberg in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Lekberg in the 17th minute of play forced Absoliut's goalkeeper Robertas Sabaitis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Kim Lekberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robertas Sabaitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Absoliut's Mustafa Hakan Tosunoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robertas Sabaitis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Lekberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kim Lekberg made a kick off. Robertas Sabaitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Lekberg in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Kim Lekberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Savage Hippo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 64th match minute, Absoliut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Chap to maneuver through the defense. Robertas Sabaitis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eddie Bjurström in the 65th minute. Kim Lekberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robertas Sabaitis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Hakan Tosunoğlu in the 73rd minute of play forced Savage Hippo's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Askstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kim Lekberg got free with Robertas Sabaitis in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Absoliut made a substitution. Agnius Pocius replaced Jerzy Frankowski. The nice shot from Kim Lekberg in the 84thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Robertas Sabaitis had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Bengt-Arne Askstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Algitas Girkantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Algitas Girkantas notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Savage Hippo's Bengt-Arne Askstedt. Bengt-Arne Askstedt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henrikas Stulpinas during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Absoliut getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Henrikas Stulpinas hit a great ball. Absoliut's Henrikas Stulpinas got his second yellow card of the match in the 93rd minute.
