When Danilo Marković fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BoondockSaints FC's protests and gave Danilo Marković a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, BoondockSaints FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksandar Vujanović to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Radisav Šljivić, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by BoondockSaints FC's Aleksandar Vujanović. But to his dismay, Aleksandar Vujanović quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Aleksandar Vujanović took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Dušan Lazarević received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Dušan Lazarević slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 22nd minute. A collision led to BoondockSaints FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Danilo Marković hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the game, Dušan Lazarević recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Dušan Lazarević showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Dušan Lazarević took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. In the 32nd minute, Danilo Marković hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Dušan Lazarević's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aleksandar Vujanović got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 47 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ranđel Radojčić came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patricio Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ranđel Radojčić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radisav Šljivić having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, BoondockSaints FC's Aleksandar Vujanović nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. If Aleksandar Vujanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Venezuela booed when BoondockSaints FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dušan Lazarević didn't get a good kick on the ball. BoondockSaints FC made a substitution. Stevan Janjić replaced Jelenko Vranković. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vanja Nenezić in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 92nd minute, Vanja Nenezić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-1. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Timmie Zijlstra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Timmie Zijlstra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
