Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cléber Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cléber Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Desiderio Oliveiro got free with Julio Vera in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 42 played minutes, Nevsehir JK's Luizinho Diniz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nevsehir JK reached it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the game, Primitivo Andino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nevsehir JK the free kick. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute Luizinho Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Marques having to interfere. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Orestis Kamaras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nevsehir JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Orestis Kamaras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Nevsehir JK getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Gökhan Aydın hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Desiderio Oliveiro in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Nevsehir JK's Gökhan Aydın got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 94th minute of play forced Nevsehir JK's goalkeeper Cléber Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nevsehir JK.
