Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 7th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ratko Glavak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Municipal's Ciano Briz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 after 8 minutes of play. Deportivo Municipal's Ratko Glavak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 11th minute of play. Patricio Costa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ratko Glavak. Deportivo Municipal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Celso Tejadillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ratko Glavak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 28 played minutes Deportivo Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Guib Gordejuela. After 29 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Solustiano Tramarria in the 31st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Rossell got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camilo Gaos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Seguinus Ortega made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Firme Navarrete charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Firme Navarrete the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, Deportivo Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Firme Navarrete to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Deportivo Municipal's Solustiano Tramarria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Deportivo Municipal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Seguinus Ortega in the 45th minute. The long shot by Firme Navarrete in the 47th minute really tested Jonathan Ferrant's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guib Gordejuela in the 58th minute of play. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Ciano Briz notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciano Briz in the 64th minute of play. Zuri Serantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciano Briz in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. A collision led to Deportivo Municipal getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Joanes Bas hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Municipal's Zuri Serantes got a free kick in the 76th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciano Briz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciano Briz went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. The throw-in from Firme Navarrete in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. A throw-in in the 85th minute of the game was made by Firme Navarrete with Solustiano Tramarria as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Joshua Secada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ratko Glavak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes in the game, Joshua Secada fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ratko Glavak having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Ciano Briz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciano Briz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Deportivo Municipal's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
