Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nichifor Simuţ was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petru Lupșe in the 19th minute of play. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nichifor Simuţ having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM-'s Petru Lupșe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 2-1 after 27 minutes of play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petru Lupșe in the 31st minute of play. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM- getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Eugen Moarcăș hit a great ball. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Silvano Kusko tried to sneak it across the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Petru Lupșe got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benito Sanz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Petru Lupșe took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Petru Lupșe was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Axel Tasis during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. After having played for 54 minutes, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Tasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM-'s Petru Lupșe got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Petru Lupșe kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM-'s Nichifor Simuţ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 64th minute of play. Liviu Brumaru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Constantin Brezoi hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Petru Lupșe charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petru Lupșe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petru Lupșe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When Silvano Kusko came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvano Kusko couldn't finish the play. Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM- were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Costa Rica for a fine match.
