After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hendrik-Jan Krommert quite easily take care of the ball. In the 13th minute, Barry Zalm reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-1. 18 minutes into the match, Flashdynamica's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Hendrik-Jan Krommert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita scored 1-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hendrik-Jan Krommert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Flashdynamica getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michael Scott got free with Julio Vera in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Flashdynamica fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Flashdynamica's Barry Zalm looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 31 minutes into the match, Flashdynamica's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Hendrik-Jan Krommert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hendrik-Jan Krommert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Flashdynamica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jochem Ijsselhof to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry Zalm in the 40th minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Hendrik-Jan Krommert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The wind increased when Barry Zalm made the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry Zalm in the 51st minute of play. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Hendrik-Jan Krommert made a huge save. Hendrik-Jan Krommert made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barry Zalm in the 62nd minute of the match. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hendrik-Jan Krommert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute of the match Flashdynamica got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After taking down the ball on Flashdynamica's corner Lucien Pietersma fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hendrik-Jan Krommert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th minute Barry Zalm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
