In the 2nd minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kuido Ööpik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute of the match, Jakob Kjellbom got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The wind increased when Codruț Dragușin made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Felix Montenegro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kuido Ööpik. That made the score 1-1 after 53 minutes of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Axbergs IF's goalkeeper Kuido Ööpik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Codruț Dragușin put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. With a little luck, Axbergs IF's Kuido Ööpik got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Axbergs IF's Codruț Dragușin got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Axbergs IF's Codruț Dragușin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kuido Ööpik having to make a save. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Kuido Ööpik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Dragușin in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Axbergs IF's Kuido Ööpik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of play. Kuido Ööpik was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 86 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Kuido Ööpik in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Axbergs IF getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Klaes Farfara hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kuido Ööpik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
