The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emil Iovulescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Panama booed when Satyricon Black was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Povară didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bogdan Povară's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Tomas Berganza might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emil Iovulescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Berganza ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Cornel Chiru sped through Panama's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cornel Chiru to strike the kick off in the second half. Cornel Chiru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Cotilla having to make a save. In the 52nd minute Ioan Pavelescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bogdan Povară during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Panama booed when Satyricon Black was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Iovulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 62nd minute of play. After 64 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. Satyricon Black's Emil Iovulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 72nd minute of play. After 76 minutes, Cornel Chiru made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Panama's Marcos Cotilla tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ioan Pavelescu during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ioan Pavelescu hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Emil Iovulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. The supporters of Satyricon Black booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Alguacil didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 minutes of play, Satyricon Black's Ioan Pavelescu made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Alex Cambeiro hit a great ball.
