After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zbigniew Glogowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute Mauro Efren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteban Lekubegi got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of KP Skępe booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteban Lekubegi got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Lekubegi came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
