With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iacob Povară prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to F.C CLUJ MEDICINA getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Nichifor Gugea hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Merceron United's Dinei Fernandez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iacob Povară. Iacob Povară yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Daniele Bucciarelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinei Fernandez got free with Iacob Povară in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Luca Pancu came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luca Pancu couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see F.C CLUJ MEDICINA lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
