The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcus Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisc Ciocoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dan Petrescu hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Claudio Barrionuevo sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Iacob Povară threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Claudio Barrionuevo this time. Los Espinillos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luca Pancu ran over to the corner to take the kick. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Luca Pancu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcus Silva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Luca Pancu took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcus Silva. Marcus Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After a rather tough play, Los Espinillos FC's Zula Munko got a free kick in the 34th minute. Iacob Povară made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Gumaro in the 35th minute of play. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save F.C CLUJ MEDICINA from getting a goal against them. Orlando Eleder hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Luca Pancu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iacob Povară showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafino Quilo in the 56th minute of the match. After 58 minutes, Ricardo Mateus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Espinillos FC and the F.C CLUJ MEDICINA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 played minutes Los Espinillos FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Mateus. Gheorghe Bociort received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Marcus Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gheorghe Bociort fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Silva having to interfere. In the 69th minute Poli Albizua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Povară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Mateus in the 72nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Marcus Silva threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Pancu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 82 minutes into the game, one of F.C CLUJ MEDICINA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Los Espinillos FC. Claudio Barrionuevo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iacob Povară. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sorin Cupșa in the 87th minute of play forced Los Espinillos FC's goalkeeper Marcus Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 95 minutes of play, Los Espinillos FC's Serafino Quilo made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iacob Povară was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched F.C CLUJ MEDICINA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
