Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Vi Är Gnaget...AIK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but 郑皓默 in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Benjamin Almstedt hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When Vi Är Gnaget...AIK's Algot Ennegren in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Algot Ennegren's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Vi Är Gnaget...AIK were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gustaf Ekblom took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 郑皓默 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Algot Ennegren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 51st minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Stenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão França in the 58th minute of play. Vi Är Gnaget...AIK's Gustaf Ekblom couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Venezuela. In the 64th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Stenberg in the 66th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vanko Leviev came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Vi Är Gnaget...AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vanko Leviev couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Algot Ennegren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Algot Ennegren, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Vi Är Gnaget...AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but 郑皓默 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 郑皓默 having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Algot Ennegren went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 86th minute Chicão França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Chicão França came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Algot Ennegren's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vi Är Gnaget...AIK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
