Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Enzo Enmanuel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Arnoldo Rufo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Arnoldo Rufo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enzo Enmanuel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 28th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Rufo in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Joshua Secada clashed with another player. He fell to the ground and was in great pain. It was obvious that he couldn't finish the game. Luiz Eduardo Ceresso charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Eduardo Ceresso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Venezuela made a substitution. Roberto Ocampo replaced Joshua Secada. After a rather tough play, TREN LOCO's Luiz Eduardo Ceresso got a free kick in the 34th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Rufo in the 38th minute of play. Ezequiel Cerutti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Aquilino Pelayo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 1-0.

Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Rufo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After 55 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. In the 60thth minute of the game Arnoldo Rufo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Pelayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. TREN LOCO's Jaime Cordero was substituted for Arnoldo Rufo. Enzo Enmanuel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 78th minute. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by TREN LOCO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Cordero in the 90th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for TREN LOCO.
