Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merexildo Raimundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Tolis Prinianakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikitas Galanos hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Tolis Prinianakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

GREEN LIONS made a substitution. Jorge Peredo replaced Nikitas Galanos. The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Peredo might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Peredo ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Peredo in the 54th minute of the match. Calisto Flayre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GREEN LIONS's Tolis Prinianakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save GREEN LIONS from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Peredo went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jorge Peredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. GREEN LIONS's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Peredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70thth minute of the game Jorge Peredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. GREEN LIONS were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 狄正希 took the corner. The corner led GREEN LIONS's 狄正希 to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Jorge Peredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 80 minutes, Iker Muniain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GREEN LIONS and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Peredo in the 88th minute of the match. GREEN LIONS's Marcial Saez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Camilo Gisbert in the 90 minute of the game. Marcial Saez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Peredo hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, GREEN LIONS's Marcial Saez got a free kick in the 96th minute. GREEN LIONS succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
