Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cezar Petruescu started the match with the kick off. The supporters of F.c Sobby booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Aurelianu's shot from long distance in the 4th minute was not bad at all, but Ecuador's Julio Vera knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Martin Erruki despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 9 played minutes F.c Sobby got a freekick which was hit by Şimşek Kako. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Martin Erruki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. F.c Sobby's Cezar Petruescu got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in F.c Sobby's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Erruki came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Erruki having to interfere. Răzvan Găvănescu hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martin Erruki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by F.c Sobby's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. 35 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Martin Erruki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 41st minute of play forced F.c Sobby's goalkeeper Martin Erruki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustín Saelices was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristian Sancho was the one to do the kick off. Martin Erruki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 57th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 61st minute Şimşek Kako shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th match minute, F.c Sobby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Aurelianu to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Erruki having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Şimşek Kako hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Erruki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 74th minute of the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezar Petruescu in the 76th minute of the match. F.c Sobby were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabian Pantelimon took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cezar Petruescu in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. After 95 played minutes, F.c Sobby's Alex Aurelianu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in F.c Sobby reached it. After a rather tough play, F.c Sobby's Albert Gherasescu got a free kick in the 95th minute.
