An unexpectedly hard shot by Quentin Marciniak in the 6th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Noureddine Boquet notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th minute, Jackson Amri made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. El Salvador's attentive Joshua Curbelo managed to snatch the ball when Léon Zunino made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. Henri Plisson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 26th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Quentin Marciniak fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ricardo Zorita, passed just outside the right post. 43 minutes into the game, one of El Salvador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moises Fernandino to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Abram Luque got a free kick in the 58th minute. After having played for 59 minutes, Noureddine Boquet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pierrevillers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noureddine Boquet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Pierrevillers getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jackson Amri hit a great ball. In the 85th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute Jackson Amri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a free kick in the 88th minute. Quentin Marciniak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Rubio during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luis Rubio hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pierrevillers fully deserved thier win.
