With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luciano Salomon saved RIVER PINAMAR fc from getting behind. The supporters of Ecuador booed when RIVER PINAMAR fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Paz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedicto Tadzio was slow to take the kick. During this time RIVER PINAMAR fc's players had a chance to rest. 31 minutes into the game, Markos Mavrikos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Markos Mavrikos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Luciano Salomon came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 40th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. RIVER PINAMAR fc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Felix Montes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 43rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Salomon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after RIVER PINAMAR fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luciano Salomon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Salomon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A very good chance. After 89 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Luciano Salomon made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than RIVER PINAMAR fc throughout the match.
