Adolfo Mendez ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, Victorio Gora dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Artemio Lamberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victorio Gora to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Lamberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Gombal in the 53rd minute of the match. Triunvirato FC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adolfo Mendez took the corner. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Gora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Triunvirato FC's Armando Donostia was substituted for Miguel Gombal. Artemio Lamberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the game, Ceferino Quico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Triunvirato FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Triunvirato FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Quico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artemio Lamberto made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Artemio Lamberto was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 2-3. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Artemio Lamberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute of the match Armando Donostia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Eulalio Gil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Lamberto having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. After having played for 95 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Triunvirato FC throughout the match.
