The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jax Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torbjørn Trondsen in the 3rd minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torbjørn Trondsen couldn't finish the play. If Bartolo Basualdo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Koby Wright fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermann Hesse having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Dixon in the 12th minute of play forced Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper Hermann Hesse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Canada's Jax Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Basualdo in the 17th minute of play. Hermann Hesse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Mccarthy's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Hermann Hesse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carter George in the 35th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Jan Dixon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermann Hesse was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Niklas Hägglund hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Koby Wright missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 47 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Hermann Hesse right hand side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bartolo Basualdo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Canada's Richard Mccarthy ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hermann Hesse. Hermann Hesse yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Canada's Filip Edwards was substituted for Koby Wright. Hermann Hesse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Mccarthy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Edwards in the 63rd minute of play forced Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper Hermann Hesse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Richard Mccarthy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermann Hesse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Tibor Nyilasi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 91st minute Tibor Nyilasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jax Williamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Canada players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Deportivo Popolizio FBC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
