With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Andino in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeo Dominic saved SOUTH AFRICA from getting behind. In the 6th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Dominic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, SOUTH AFRICA's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Romeo Dominic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Domeka got free with Julio Vera in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeo Dominic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SOUTH AFRICA's Braulio Rocio got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romeo Dominic showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, SOUTH AFRICA's Elvio Ted got a free kick in the 21st minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Domeka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the SOUTH AFRICA defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeo Dominic. The SOUTH AFRICA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romeo Dominic should have stopped the shot. Romeo Dominic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 33rd minute of the match. SOUTH AFRICA's Romeo Dominic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SOUTH AFRICA's Cavit Sanay got a free kick in the 38th minute. Daniel Zorita, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Dominic having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Domeka stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in SOUTH AFRICA's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Dominic came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elvio Ted fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Mel in the 62nd minute of play. In the 66th minute Elvio Ted shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Domeka made a great header on SOUTH AFRICA's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Romeo Dominic. That made the score 0-2 after 68 minutes of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Mel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Romeo Dominic in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cavit Sanay kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Cavit Sanay hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind SOUTH AFRICA's goalkeeper Romeo Dominic, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romeo Dominic having to make a save. After a rather tough play, SOUTH AFRICA's Braulio Rocio got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Romeo Dominic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
