Xavion Ponga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Fitzgerald, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. If Urdin Palmadas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lou Walker in the 28th minute of play forced Pxnda SC's goalkeeper Xavion Ponga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Pxnda SC's Urdin Palmadas got a free kick in the 29th minute. Pxnda SC's Xavion Ponga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Brand in the 32nd minute of play. Xavion Ponga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lou Walker in the 33rd minute of the match. 0-3 became the score in the 34th minute when Lou Walker elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Xavion Ponga came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Toronto United's Lou Walker. But to his dismay, Lou Walker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 42nd minute Güngör Yüce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavion Ponga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Pxnda SC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Xosepe Orgaz hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute of the match, Rodolfo Eleazar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Xavion Ponga was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lou Walker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Xavion Ponga made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lou Walker in the 56th minute of play forced Pxnda SC's goalkeeper Xavion Ponga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Pxnda SC's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Fitzgerald came free, but Xavion Ponga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kauã Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Güngör Yüce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xavion Ponga. Pxnda SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Güngör Yüce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Xavion Ponga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
