In the 15th minute Andréas Hasselqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Ruy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Santa Margarita getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jose Nuxila hit a great ball. If Elias Chico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Astor Ruy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Witomir Pisarczyk in the 34th minute. BloodHounds F.C.'s attentive Edgard Maiorga managed to snatch the ball when Igor Furtado made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. If D.J. J.J. had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Elias Chico made the kick off in the second half. Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by D.J. J.J. in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström got control of the ball when Elias Chico tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Chico in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pontus Nordström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santa Margarita made a substitution. Mauro Icardi replaced Witomir Pisarczyk. The supporters of Santa Margarita booed when BloodHounds F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toto Ciupitu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Toto Ciupitu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 86 minutes of play, Santa Margarita's Mauro Icardi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Astor Ruy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Elias Chico received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pontus Nordström came out and tried to block the shot, but Elias Chico slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 91st minute. Pontus Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
