Carta Vieja F.C.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Roberto Rodriguez succeeded in the game's 7th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. The supporters of Amboy FC booed when Carta Vieja F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Zacarias Goleš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Roberto Rodriguez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Ríos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ivan Ríos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Rodriguez in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Rodriguez in the 18th minute of play forced Carta Vieja F.C.'s goalkeeper Ivan Ríos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 minutes, Roberto Rodriguez made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Carta Vieja F.C.'s Ivan Ríos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivan Ríos stood somewhat misplaced when Roberto Rodriguez came free in front of goal and shot 6-0 to the left of him in the 37 minute. After a defensive mix-up in Carta Vieja F.C.'s zone, Roberto Rodriguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Ríos came out of the goal and Roberto Rodriguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rafael Tello made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Tello came free, but Gustavo Bernebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Ríos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Rodriguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Amboy FC's Zé Vo was substituted for Roberto Rodriguez. When Asaf Işıklar fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Ivan Ríos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Goleš, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Zacarias Goleš managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amboy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarias Goleš was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Loco Loco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Ríos having to interfere.
