The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Gabon got free with Wawrzyniec Charamut in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnaldo Gabon might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wawrzyniec Charamut. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnaldo Gabon ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to De Boedo Vengo getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Ulises Cesario hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lisandro Roderigo in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Branislav Velchevski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the match, Elpidio Francis notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of De Boedo Vengo's Wawrzyniec Charamut. Wawrzyniec Charamut was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute, Elpidio Francis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Asier came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Gabon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wawrzyniec Charamut. Arnaldo Gabon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The supporters of De Boedo Vengo booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Dalmu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Cipriano Aresti shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Branislav Velchevski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rafael Dalmu hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Gheară came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cipriano Aresti was slow to take the kick. During this time De Boedo Vengo's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Roderigo in the 48th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elpidio Francis to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Elpidio Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wawrzyniec Charamut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by De Boedo Vengo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Everardo Cordarell was slow to take the kick. During this time ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Arnoldo Cordero got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wawrzyniec Charamut quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wawrzyniec Charamut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Gabon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elpidio Francis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 61st minute of play forced De Boedo Vengo's goalkeeper Wawrzyniec Charamut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Gheară, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Aristides Asteri was substituted for Arnaldo Gabon. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús was substituted for Elpidio Francis. In the 68th minute, Bonifacio Suarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Olle Snell managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Olle Snell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wawrzyniec Charamut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Norbert Chwalkiewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Branislav Velchevski was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Wawrzyniec Charamut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Asteri in the 86th minute of play. Wawrzyniec Charamut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Monclús, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
