The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Silvestre Loi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Alexandros Ismael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Beltran in the 4th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Jacek Matuch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Alexandros Ismael managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when SV Bad Harzburg's Silvestre Loi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvestre Loi in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandros Ismael saved Águilas Poblanas from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Galeno in the 11th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Jacek Matuch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandros Ismael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurek Ohrem in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, SV Bad Harzburg's Éthan Pichard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandros Ismael made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, Roberto Carlos threw the ball into play from the sideline. Águilas Poblanas's Victor Macias quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Alexandros Ismael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Éthan Pichard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Águilas Poblanas's zone, Silvestre Loi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandros Ismael came out of the goal and Silvestre Loi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandros Ismael stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Éthan Pichard's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Éthan Pichard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Eusebio Beltran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacek Matuch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacek Matuch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Galeno in the 31st minute of the match. With a little luck, Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael got control of the ball when Silvestre Loi tried to sneak it across the goal line. SV Bad Harzburg's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mathias Schulten in the 40th minute. The corner led SV Bad Harzburg's Mathias Schulten to fire away a dangerous shot which Alexandros Ismael despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Mathias Schulten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Bad Harzburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathias Schulten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Beltran came free, but Jacek Matuch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvestre Loi to make the kick off. SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Galeno in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Águilas Poblanas booed when SV Bad Harzburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Éthan Pichard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Águilas Poblanas's Iker Urti was substituted for Virgilio Txindoki. Águilas Poblanas's Epifanio Intxixu was substituted for Ciro Matai. After 59 played minutes SV Bad Harzburg got a freekick which was hit by Éthan Pichard. Mathias Schulten made a great header on SV Bad Harzburg's corner, it was just that Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael managed to reach the ball for a save. 67 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Loi came free, but Alexandros Ismael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandros Ismael came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by SV Bad Harzburg's Éthan Pichard. But to his dismay, Éthan Pichard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 83 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Jacek Matuch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusebio Beltran. Alexandros Ismael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Éthan Pichard in the 84th minute of the match. Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Loi in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Éthan Pichard in the 90th minute of play forced Águilas Poblanas's goalkeeper Alexandros Ismael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Éthan Pichard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alexandros Ismael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SV Bad Harzburg had played much better football throughout.
