The referee ignored Peru's protests and gave Milagros Fraga a yellow card for diving instead. Milagros Fraga hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. After 96 played minutes, Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s Oso Ted shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rolando Noboa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cartero de Agronomia F.C. reached it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peru walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
