Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonid Polovkov in the 8th minute of the match. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonid Polovkov in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Joost Kindermans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Adan Jaizki in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. In the 24th minute, Leonid Polovkov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Seme in the 28th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonid Polovkov in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adan Jaizki during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joost Kindermans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th minute, Salvador Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonid Polovkov in the 82nd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonid Polovkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute.
