Carioca 【CIMZ】's goal looked a bit too open when Evandro Maia came free, but Tadeu do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Daniel Cavalcante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tarcisio Gerber. EDI MZB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Cavalcante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 35 minutes into the match, EDI MZB's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson de Godoi came free, but Tarcisio Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonso do Nascimento took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tarcisio Gerber. Tarcisio Gerber dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 40th minute, Erik Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeu do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. EDI MZB were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Flavinho Donato took the corner. After the first half A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Flavinho Donato made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Jefferson de Godoi notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of EDI MZB's Tarcisio Gerber. Tarcisio Gerber was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Afonso do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the game, Sidnei Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EDI MZB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 the free kick. The supporters of A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 booed when EDI MZB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, EDI MZB's goalkeeper Tarcisio Gerber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erik Leite. Daniel Cavalcante struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Tarcisio Gerber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】. If Erik Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Evandro Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EDI MZB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evandro Maia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the game, Vinícius Teles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EDI MZB the free kick. After 76 played minutes A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Teles. After a defensive mix-up in EDI MZB's zone, Afonso do Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tarcisio Gerber came out of the goal and Afonso do Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the game, Danilo Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EDI MZB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 the free kick. Danilo Pires hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Daniel Cavalcante who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Tarcisio Gerber when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tadeu do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidnei Fernandez in the 91st minute of play. Tadeu do Valle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Belmiro Sanches went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score.
