In the 3rdth minute of the game Bola Forte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Gyula Grosics was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Diamantino Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gyula Grosics having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, Diamantino Donato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mamutes EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA the free kick. Marcinho Fonseca was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Washington Furtado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Almir Damião took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gyula Grosics. Gyula Grosics dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Gyula Grosics didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Almir Damião went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Marcinho Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Quintal in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Washington Furtado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcinho Fonseca. Mamutes EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Washington Furtado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Marcinho Fonseca was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Reynaldo Zanette showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 25 minute of play. Almir Damião charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Almir Damião the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA booed when Mamutes EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Almir Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natã Sanches hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 37thth minute of the game Almir Damião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Gyula Grosics was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goalkeeper Marcinho Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Zanette. 42 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Bola Forte came free, but Gyula Grosics reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bola Forte in the 46th minute of play forced CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Gyula Grosics to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gyula Grosics took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Washington Furtado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Patrick Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gyula Grosics didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dé Lira went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. 61 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Almir Damião came free, but Gyula Grosics reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 played minutes CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco Madureira. 69 minutes into the match, Washington Furtado notched a goal, 4-4, to the right of Mamutes EC's Marcinho Fonseca. Marcinho Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felippe Zanette in the 77th minute of play forced CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Gyula Grosics to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jean Quintal fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's protests and gave Jean Quintal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Quintal to maneuver through the defense. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Gyula Grosics played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Damião in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Almir Damião came free, but Gyula Grosics reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Lima couldn't finish the play. A collision led to CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Jean Quintal hit a great ball. Gyula Grosics showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Almir Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 97th minute, Natã Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
