One of New Joinville - FSCMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vila Industrial FC:s goal. 5 minutes into the game, Vila Industrial FC's Luuk de Jong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emerson Chaves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 9 minutes, Luuk de Jong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vila Industrial FC and the New Joinville - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vila Industrial FC's Luuk de Jong got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 12th match minute, Vila Industrial FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. Matías Botelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lamine Xande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wiliam Viana charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wiliam Viana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wiliam Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 29 minutes of play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Lamine Xande made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matías Botelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Válbson Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matías Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lamine Xande in the 47th minute of play. After the first half New Joinville - FSCMZ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Rafael Cavalcante made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Viana in the 52nd minute of play forced New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Emerson Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Vila Industrial FC's goalkeeper Matías Botelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válbson Schmidt. Vila Industrial FC's Matías Botelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Vila Industrial FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Marquinhos Jacinto got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 70 minutes, Lamine Xande made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Vila Industrial FC's Matías Botelho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Guilherme Tavares was substituted for Emílio Martins. New Joinville - FSCMZ made a substitution. Glauco Correia replaced Sidney de Queirós. If Robinho de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The New Joinville - FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when New Joinville - FSCMZ's Robinho de Souza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Matías Botelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lamine Xande, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
