The Castanheiro SC fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Castanheiro SC's Mauro Sarmento looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Marcelo Eger put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Edgar Sabóia. In the 27th minute, Castanheiro SC's Júnior Alagoano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. 32 minutes into the game, Mauro Sarmento recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgar Sabóia. Doni Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The wind increased when Kiko Neves made the kick off in the second half. Edgar Sabóia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
