When Michel Shevchenko came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the ADM Taquaras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Shevchenko couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Classe A Futebol Clube booed when ADM Taquaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Váldson Mazza notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of ADM Taquaras's Décio Marinho. After a rather tough play, ADM Taquaras's Pedro Paulo Cruz got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 74th match minute, ADM Taquaras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Paulo Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Décio Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugênio Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute.
