Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Belmiro Sanches kicked off to start the match. After 4 minutes, Aníbal Velasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EDI MZB and the Castanheiro SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tarcisio Gerber. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when EDI MZB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarcisio Gerber having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Alagoano in the 26th minute of play forced EDI MZB's goalkeeper Tarcisio Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Marcelo Eger reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tarcisio Gerber. The goal made the score 2-0. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Eger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tarcisio Gerber was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Tiago Machado scored 2-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Doni Seco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Ronaldo Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Castanheiro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Pinho couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, David Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Júnior Alagoano might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tarcisio Gerber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Júnior Alagoano ran back to his position shaking his head. Luisinho Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, EDI MZB's Aníbal Velasco tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye EDI MZB's goalie prevented a goal. EDI MZB's Tarcisio Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vítor Ferreira in the 67th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Tiago Machado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Doni Seco, 2-2. João Vítor Ferreira took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tarcisio Gerber. Tarcisio Gerber dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Evandro Maia hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Tarcisio Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Eger in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tarcisio Gerber saved EDI MZB from getting behind. Marcelo Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarcisio Gerber having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Castanheiro SC fully deserved thier win.
