Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Mazza came free, but Gianluigi Donnarumma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Joélson Paraibano. With a little luck, Classe A Futebol Clube's Doriva Simão got control of the ball when Ladislao Mazurkiewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ladislao Mazurkiewicz in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doriva Simão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivo Mello during the 30th minute. Váldson Mazza's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Gianluigi Donnarumma skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 59 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Mazurkiewicz. Anísio Netto hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match.
