Gianluigi Donnarumma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alin Agud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ladislao Mazurkiewiczs short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Iulian Bucurescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Iulian Bucurescu 11 minutes into the match. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gianluigi Donnarumma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihai Odobescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With his leg Iulian Bucurescu managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Ladislao Mazurkiewicz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Gianluigi Donnarumma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigi Câmpeanu in the 37th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Gigi Câmpeanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gianluigi Donnarumma. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gigi Câmpeanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ladislao Mazurkiewicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iulian Bucurescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Mazurkiewicz in the 52nd minute of play. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iulian Bucurescu. Iulian Bucurescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. With a little luck, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Gianluigi Donnarumma got control of the ball when Emanuel Finteșteanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Mazurkiewicz in the 64th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Iulian Bucurescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69thth minute of the game Ladislao Mazurkiewicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iulian Bucurescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Túlio Negri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iulian Bucurescu. In the 85th match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Finteșteanu to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Komen Grama in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iulian Bucurescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alin Agud's late challenge caught a S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alin Agud helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Alin Agud. Komen Grama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Iulian Bucurescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
