Afonso Soares hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Evandro Maia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luisão Simões, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno da Costa in the 9th minute of play forced EDI MZB's goalkeeper Tarcisio Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to EDI MZB getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Belmiro Sanches hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Elói Nogueira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of EDI MZB's Tarcisio Gerber. Tarcisio Gerber was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tarcisio Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Nogueira in the 24th minute of play. Evandro Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Luisão Simões made a huge save. Luisão Simões was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Evandro Maia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Evandro Maia really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. A collision led to EDI MZB getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Tiago Machado hit a great ball. Tarcisio Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dênis Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 41st match minute, EDI MZB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubinho Costa to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Tarcisio Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tarcisio Gerber came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG's Elói Nogueira. But to his dismay, Elói Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Elói Nogueira charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elói Nogueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elói Nogueira hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Luisão Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Dênis Gomes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tarcisio Gerber. EDI MZB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dênis Gomes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG's Luisão Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Maia in the 69th minute of play. Tiago Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG's Luisão Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Maia in the 76th minute of play. Bruno da Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno da Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bruno da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Aníbal Velasco was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 80 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in EDI MZB fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! EDI MZB made a substitution. Hélio Baiano replaced Belmiro Sanches. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno da Costa got free with Tarcisio Gerber in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG booed when EDI MZB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 minutes of play, EDI MZB's Evandro Maia made it 4-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisão Simões was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edi Souza hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. TROMBETA DO APOCALIPSE MG had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
