Floripa Lions FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Classe A Futebol Clube the free kick. After 5 played minutes Floripa Lions FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Batista. Doriva Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Batista in the 14th minute of the match. Doriva Simão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Batista in the 18th minute of play forced Classe A Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Doriva Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 minutes, Eugênio Peres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Classe A Futebol Clube and the Floripa Lions FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Floripa Lions FSCMZ booed when Classe A Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugênio Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doriva Simão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Mathias Gaúcho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Doriva Simão in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. André Luiz Proença's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doriva Simão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Floripa Lions FSCMZ got a corner. Classe A Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mathias Gaúcho ran over to the corner to take the kick. Classe A Futebol Clube's Doriva Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Batista in the 33rd minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Natã Rossi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Classe A Futebol Clube's Doriva Simão. Doriva Simão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 42nd match minute, Classe A Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Sá to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Doriva Simão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Váldson Mazza made a kick off. Leandro Barros's late challenge caught a Floripa Lions FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After having played for 59 minutes, Natã Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natã Rossi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doriva Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The audience was convinced that Natã Rossi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doriva Simão was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. 71 minutes into the match, Classe A Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Rossi came free, but Doriva Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doriva Simão was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sydney Martins. 73 minutes into the game, André Luiz Proença cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Doriva Simão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Doriva Simão made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Luciano Batista sent off a good shot on target. 78 minutes into the match, Classe A Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Doriva Simão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Luiz Proença. A collision led to Floripa Lions FSCMZ getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Sydney Martins hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Floripa Lions FSCMZ's zone, Murillo Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Siqueira came out of the goal and Murillo Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 82 minutes on the clock, Sydney Martins commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Sydney Martins hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. A collision led to Floripa Lions FSCMZ getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Hélder Prestes hit a great ball. Murillo Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Abelardo Sá had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evaristo Siqueira. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abelardo Sá was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Raúl Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Natã Rossi in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Classe A Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Floripa Lions FSCMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
