The referee showed Hílton Eger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to RIBEIRÃO FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Hílton Eger hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Eger in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiaguinho Pirani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mauro Sarmento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Tiaguinho Pirani made a huge save. Marcelo Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Tiaguinho Pirani made a huge save. After 23 played minutes RIBEIRÃO FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Sanches. Marcelo Eger struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Tiaguinho Pirani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castanheiro SC. Marcelo Eger took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiaguinho Pirani. Tiaguinho Pirani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Tiaguinho Pirani stood somewhat misplaced when Marcelo Eger came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 28 minute. In the 33rd minute Marcelo Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of RIBEIRÃO FC booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Eduardo Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Pirani having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Marcelo Eger put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tiaguinho Pirani. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The Castanheiro SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Tiaguinho Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. A collision led to RIBEIRÃO FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Hílton Eger hit a great ball. After 70 minutes, Ulisses Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castanheiro SC and the RIBEIRÃO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcelo Eger took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiaguinho Pirani. Tiaguinho Pirani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. If Ronaldo Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hílton Eger got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Hílton Eger hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Tiaguinho Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Marcelo Eger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiaguinho Pirani. RIBEIRÃO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelo Eger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Tiaguinho Pirani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Eger went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. There was no doubt that Castanheiro SC were the better team. Castanheiro SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
