In the 9th minute Patrick Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramiro Duarte took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tarcisio Gerber. Tarcisio Gerber dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Kléber Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Machado in the 31st minute of play forced Classe A Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Doriva Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, EDI MZB's Fábio Alves got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Tarcisio Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Váldson Mazza in the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Classe A Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Doriva Simão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute Ramiro Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Sá in the 45th minute of play forced EDI MZB's goalkeeper Tarcisio Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the match, EDI MZB's goalkeeper Tarcisio Gerber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Váldson Mazza. 54 minutes into the game, Classe A Futebol Clube's Ramiro Duarte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tarcisio Gerber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Kléber Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. EDI MZB's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Abelardo Sá scored to the left of an out of position Tarcisio Gerber, making the score, 0-4. Tarcisio Gerber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramiro Duarte in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, EDI MZB's Sidnei Fernandez got a free kick in the 67th minute. After 72 played minutes Classe A Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Netto. Tiago Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Doriva Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Eugênio Peres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Classe A Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EDI MZB the free kick. After a rather tough play, Classe A Futebol Clube's Eugênio Peres got a free kick in the 79th minute. Didi Mesquita's late challenge caught a Classe A Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Didi Mesquita helped the player get up and apologised. Ramiro Duarte received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tarcisio Gerber came out and tried to block the shot, but Ramiro Duarte slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Tiago Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. EDI MZB's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva Simão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doriva Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidnei Fernandez in the 92nd minute of the match. EDI MZB's Tarcisio Gerber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save EDI MZB from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded Classe A Futebol Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than EDI MZB.
