Fernandinho Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Gianluigi Donnarumma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Luizão Prata was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Caxias do Sul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Rosa to maneuver through the defense. When Kiko Neves came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Braga Junior FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kiko Neves couldn't finish the play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ladislao Mazurkiewicz made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ladislao Mazurkiewicz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Sabóia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Gianluigi Donnarumma successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Gianluigi Donnarumma got control of the ball when Kiko Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgar Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joélson Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 minutes Braga Junior FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leopoldo Sanches who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Leopoldo Sanches almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Braga Junior FC's Edgar Sabóia did a great save.
