FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EDI MZB the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Emanuel Finteșteanu got a free kick in the 7th minute. The EDI MZB fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when EDI MZB's Belmiro Sanches looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Belmiro Sanches took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iulian Bucurescu. Iulian Bucurescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Belmiro Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Bucurescu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Machado in the 23rd minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Iulian Bucurescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Telmo Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Mihai Odobescu, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Iulian Bucurescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iulian Bucurescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Sanches in the 37th minute of play. Iulian Bucurescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Machado in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, EDI MZB's Sidnei Fernandez got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 45th minute, Gigi Câmpeanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tarcisio Gerber was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

FC UNIREA Alba Iulia:s Iulian Bucurescu showed great skill when he stopped Telmo Bueno:s penalty. Telmo Bueno did an outstanding performance 54 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-3 to the right of an irritated Iulian Bucurescu in the goal. 58 minutes into the game, Fábio Alves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EDI MZB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC UNIREA Alba Iulia the free kick. In the 59th minute, Marian Enășoiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tarcisio Gerber was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iulian Bucurescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save FC UNIREA Alba Iulia from getting a goal against them. Iulian Bucurescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Machado in the 63rd minute of the match. Iulian Bucurescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Tiago Machado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Iulian Bucurescu, 3-5. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Iulian Bucurescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Belmiro Sanches got free with Iulian Bucurescu in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tarcisio Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tudor Bărbânță, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When Edi Souza fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EDI MZB's protests and gave Edi Souza a yellow card for diving instead. Edi Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Machado in the 90th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Iulian Bucurescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. EDI MZB's Tarcisio Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Enășoiu in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Tiago Machado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EDI MZB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-6.
