When Luciano Batista came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Floripa Lions FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Batista couldn't finish the play. André Luiz Proença could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Edgar Sabóia made a huge save. In the 9th minute, André Luiz Proença reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgar Sabóia. The goal made the score 2-0. After 22 minutes, Augusto Oliveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Braga Junior FC and the Floripa Lions FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Floripa Lions FSCMZ booed when Braga Junior FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute Kiko Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, André Luiz Proença cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Edgar Sabóia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Braga Junior FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when André Luiz Proença scored to the left of an out of position Edgar Sabóia, making the score, 4-0. Natã Rossi struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Edgar Sabóia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floripa Lions FSCMZ. Braga Junior FC's Edgar Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã Rossi in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luciano Batista to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Braga Junior FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Luiz Proença came free, but Edgar Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Braga Junior FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Fernandão Neiva hit a great ball. Mathias Gaúcho struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Edgar Sabóia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floripa Lions FSCMZ. Luciano Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Edgar Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luiz Proença in the 77th minute of play forced Braga Junior FC's goalkeeper Edgar Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, Braga Junior FC's Edgar do Valle got a free kick in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the Braga Junior FC defense, Natã Rossi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgar Sabóia. The Braga Junior FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgar Sabóia should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute, Natã Rossi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Sabóia was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. After 91 played minutes Braga Junior FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruninho Nascimento. Edgar Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Floripa Lions FSCMZ were the better team. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
