In the 14th minute Dito Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benê Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benê Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Shevchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Benê Simão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After some careless play in the Vila Industrial FC defense, Michel Drogba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benê Simão. The Vila Industrial FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benê Simão should have stopped the shot. With his leg Décio Marinho managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Vila Industrial FC's Rafael Cavalcante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 41 played minutes Vila Industrial FC got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Catarinense. 42 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's Michel Drogba broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Benê Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Drogba, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When Falcão Viana fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vila Industrial FC's protests and gave Falcão Viana a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Vila Industrial FC got a freekick which was hit by Falcão Viana. After the first half ADM Taquaras were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Michel Drogba got free with Benê Simão in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, ADM Taquaras's Baltazar França got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Décio Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Viana in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Vila Industrial FC booed when ADM Taquaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Rüdiger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vila Industrial FC's Benê Simão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Vila Industrial FC from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ADM Taquaras walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
