Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elói Nogueira started the match with the kick off. Luisão Simões was a little too slow when Marcelo Eger got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. Luisão Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Eger in the 10th minute. After 20 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Marco Bezerra. 21 minutes into the match, Bruno da Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doni Seco. Castanheiro SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno da Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When Mauro Sarmento came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Castanheiro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Sarmento couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute, Mauro Sarmento reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luisão Simões. The goal made the score 4-1. After 32 played minutes PEÇONHENTO FC MG got a freekick which was hit by Kader Picar. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mauro Sarmento 35 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 5-1. 38 minutes into the game, Mauro Sarmento recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luisão Simões. Mauro Sarmento showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-1. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Luisão Simões proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save PEÇONHENTO FC MG from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Eger made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Geovani Madureira made a precise shot to the right of Luisão Simões. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Luisão Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Sarmento in the 58th minute of play. Geovani Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Castanheiro SC's Doni Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno da Costa in the 63rd minute of play. When Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goalie prevented a goal. Luisão Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Alagoano in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in PEÇONHENTO FC MG's zone, Marcelo Eger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisão Simões came out of the goal and Marcelo Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Marco Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serafim Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st match minute Dudu Neļķis ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Doni Seco. 9-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Neļķis in the 86th minute of play forced Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Doni Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Eger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luisão Simões was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. 91 minutes into the game, Mauro Sarmento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castanheiro SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PEÇONHENTO FC MG the free kick. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when PEÇONHENTO FC MG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Castanheiro SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
