Sal Norris took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bruno Barrett. Curacao's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sal Norris in the 11th minute of the match. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sal Norris in the 17th minute of play. If Stanley Wallace had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sal Norris in the 21st minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Troy Kennedy's late challenge caught a American's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Abe Thomas took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bruno Barrett to make any attempt to save it. In the 30th minute, Abe Thomas made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Mohammed Buchanan hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After 43 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Stanley Wallace. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abe Thomas to strike the kick off in the second half. Sid Bowser took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Abe Thomas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanni Talley in the 67th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
