Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Cacheres in the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nereo Cacheres was slow to take the kick. During this time Los once leones Ourense's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Nereo Cacheres almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. When Edelmiro Calvo in the 9th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Dante Lacasa kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 11 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo-Enrique Alabern came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Los once leones Ourense's Albano Unzueta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Nereo Cacheres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 33rd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Unzueta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Cacheres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dabi Vila's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Dabi Vila scored 2-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Unzueta having to interfere. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 56th minute. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Leonardo Leoz hit a great ball. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Albano Unzueta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dabi Vila in the 64th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dabi Vila in the 68th minute of play. Albano Unzueta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 69th minute of play. After 71 played minutes Los once leones Ourense got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Calvo. With a little luck, Los once leones Ourense's Albano Unzueta got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albano Unzueta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luca Zorita's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo-Enrique Alabern in the 80th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Luca Zorita hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Marcio Martinez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los once leones Ourense's Albano Unzueta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 84th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Cacheres, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Los once leones Ourense's Albano Unzueta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Los once leones Ourense from getting a goal against them. Raúl Ramis was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 92 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the game, one of Los once leones Ourense:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Albano Unzueta had in the 94thth minute some difficulties stopping Joel Gaona's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Pablo-Enrique Alabern recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
