In the 20thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laus Deo's Arsenio Manni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kong Ping. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Kong Ping sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Arsenio Manni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute of the match. The corner led Venezuela's Patricio Costa to fire away a dangerous shot which Arsenio Manni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 34 played minutes Kong Ping rounded Venezuela's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Manni having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Romeo Peto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laus Deo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Arsenio Manni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Arsenio Manni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Laus Deo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Gora to maneuver through the defense. Arsenio Manni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 53rd minute of the match. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Laus Deo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Laus Deo's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arsenio Manni came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laus Deo's Luis Alberto Moura was substituted for Robinho Recife. Laus Deo made a substitution. Michel de Alcântara replaced Peder Mellingen. A collision led to Laus Deo getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Michel de Alcântara hit a great ball. Arsenio Manni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kong Ping in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Laus Deo's Evaristo Cerezo got a free kick in the 77th minute. When Luis Alberto Moura came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Laus Deo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Alberto Moura couldn't finish the play. Laus Deo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
