The supporters of Villa La Perla booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Federico Matai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Eleder in the 71st minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teo Erauso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Ignazio in the 93rd minute of the match. 2-3 became the score in the 95th minute when Maximiliano Escribano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the match was over Uruguay could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Villa La Perla throughout the match.
