Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Freddy Cordarrell made the kick off which started today's match. SC Braga's Antonio Adán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Cordarrell in the 4th minute of play. Lütfü Mürsel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quintino Carvalhais in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes in the game, Zigmantas Gimbutas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lütfü Mürsel having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahçe's zone, Zigmantas Gimbutas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lütfü Mürsel came out of the goal and Zigmantas Gimbutas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fenerbahçe's goalie prevented a goal. If Quintino Carvalhais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Metehan Aurelio in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Adán prevented the ball from getting in the gole. André Jordão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lütfü Mürsel having to interfere. Antonio Adán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Cordarrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahçe's zone, Zigmantas Gimbutas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lütfü Mürsel came out of the goal and Zigmantas Gimbutas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 31 in the game by Quintino Carvalhais from a close distance when the talented Lütfü Mürsel managed to make a qualified save. Fenerbahçe's players were relieved. Lütfü Mürsel stood somewhat misplaced when Quintino Carvalhais came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 32 minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lütfü Mürsel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the game, SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lütfü Mürsel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Quintino Carvalhais could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Lütfü Mürsel made a huge save. In the 44th match minute, SC Braga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zigmantas Gimbutas to maneuver through the defense. In the 46thth minute of the game Freddy Cordarrell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Braga's Antonio Adán was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Quintino Carvalhais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zigmantas Gimbutas made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Quintino Carvalhais's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lütfü Mürsel was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper Lütfü Mürsel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Braga made a substitution. Antonio Cieri replaced Quintino Carvalhais. Stig-Åke Mattsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lu Xun Lei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lütfü Mürsel having to interfere. Lütfü Mürsel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Cieri in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute SC Braga were awarded a corner. Lu Xun Lei went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Stig-Åke Mattsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lütfü Mürsel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 75th minute Antonio Cieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfü Mürsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Antonio Cieri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lütfü Mürsel. Fenerbahçe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonio Cieri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 85th minute Stig-Åke Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfü Mürsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, SC Braga's Stig-Åke Mattsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lütfü Mürsel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Geraldo Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lütfü Mürsel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Cieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Stig-Åke Mattsson struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Lütfü Mürsel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Braga. When the referee ended the match the SC Braga players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
