Juan Leto made in the 19th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Espigão Steamrollers's Leandro Gil. 20 minutes into the match, Espigão Steamrollers's Roneixon Siqueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marta Pressley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Espigão Steamrollers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Oswaldo Nascimento in the 21st minute. Ángel Romero was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Gonçalo de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Ros in the 30th minute of the match. Kara Bhattacharya hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Roneixon Siqueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Marta Pressley made a huge save. Gonçalo de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Ros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40thth minute of the game Bo Ros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espigão Steamrollers's Gonçalo de Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Bo Ros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gonçalo de Medeiros was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
